The ASEAN Training Center for Preventive Drug Education (ATCPDE) is conducting the ASEAN Seminar-Workshop on Community-Based Prevention of Drug Abuse on September 2 to 6, 2013 in Metro Manila. This activity is funded by Japan ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).

The seminar-workshop is a collaborative effort among the ASEAN countries with centers for different purposes in relation to drugs. It has the following objectives:

  1. Identify effective treatment and intervention programs at the community level
  2. Develop community-based drug abuse prevention and health promotion approaches
  3. Design community-specific programs and activities for drug abuse prevention
  4. Conduct monitoring and evaluation of the community-based drug abuse prevention program
